Moray Citizens Advice Bureau

Moray Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent local charity run by a Board of volunteer directors drawn from the local community.

The Board is responsible for setting strategy & policy. All operational matters are the responsibility of the Manager. Moray CAB is a member of Citizens Advice Scotland which provides training, an extensive information system, social policy, research and IT support.

The Core service is funded by The Moray Council under a Service Level Agreement.


Moray CAB provides high quality and effective advice, assistance and training for local people, tackling poverty and social inclusion.
Moray CAB provides advice, information and practical assistance on a range of issues which include:

Benefits, Consumer Debt*, Employment, Housing, Legal, Tax, and Utilities.

*Moray CAB works in partnership with The Moray Council Trading Standards under the auspices of The Moray Money Advice Partnership. Moray CAB assists clients who have a single debt whilst Trading Standards deal with clients who have multiple debt issues.

In addition Moray CAB can offer in-depth advice and assistance including representation on Homelessness & Eviction.

The service is FREE, INDEPENDENT, CONFIDENTIAL and IMPARTIAL, based on respect for the client.
